Retha de Villiers is the founder of ROH South Africa and has headed the ministry since 2014. Retha opened with a powerful teaching from the book of Malachi, and many hearts were stirred by the message to turn from sin and return to God. Not because of his anger towards us but because of His love for us – “I have always loved you,” says the Lord. Malachi 1:2. In Malachi 3:16, we read, “And those who feared the Lord spoke with one another.” This was the response of the faithful in Malachi and, therefore, our response at the conference as we moved into panel discussion sessions relating to the theme Connect.

Suria Scholts from A Vivid Life taught in the closing session about The Table as a Place of Connection. She highlighted how Jesus served in His time of ministry around many tables and this brought profound spiritual insight to something as practical as a table! We will never sit around a table quite the same again!

6:03:00 The table as a place of connection

Our conference ended with communion and song. It was a holy ending to a rich day of encountering God on many levels. We give him glory for every beautiful and ‘worthy of praise’ moment. May He be glorified in the lives of these 120 guests who attended in person, and also those who attended online, and may Isaiah 55:11 be the standing testimony:

“So shall my word be that goes from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”
